Pearls and gold are a classic combo that basically runs through our veins at this point. So fresh and so clean, pearls always work well with a bright polished gold.
One of our favourite ways to pair pearls and gold is with a string of pearl necklace and some chunky gold hoops. So, we made our own.
Here are a few tips for pairing a string of pearl necklaces with chunky gold hoops:
-
Choose a string of pearls that are the right size for your neck. This is important. A necklace that is too long will overwhelm the hoops so we like to go for a choker length - single or stacked.
- Consider the colour of the pearls on the necklace when choosing the hoops. If you have white pearls we'd stick with pairing with a classic gold chunky hoop, any size works from huggies to large disco hoops. We also love a grey pearl and stainless silver pairing for a cooler toned look.
- Don't be afraid to mix and match different styles of gold hoops. You can wear a pair of simple hoops with a chinkier string of pearls, like a Baroque pearl, or you could wear a pair of statement hoops with a simple, micro string of pearls. Contrast is the key.
- Accessorise with other gold jewellery. We LOVE stacking em' high. Try mixing and matching the size of the pearls you wear, for example our Baroque Pearl Choker Necklace and our Fresh Micro pearl Double Wrap Necklace work really well together.
